Dave Mason - Carnival for Band

Carnival for Band comprises five movements.
The first four are based on Saint-Saëns' The Carnival of the Animals.
Melodies from other composers come into play starting with movement four.

1.	Savannah Sunrise.
	Nach „Marche Royale du Lion” aus Karnival der Tiere.
2.	Avian Chatter.
	Nach „Volière” aus Karnival der Tiere.
3.	Moray Foray).
	Nach „Aquarium” aus Karnival der Tiere.
4.	When Swans Meet (dt. „Wenn Schwäne sich treffen”).
	Zunächst erscheint der „falsche” Schwan (nämlich Tschaikowskis Schwan aus Schwanensee), bevor Saint-Saëns' „Schwan” aus Karnival der Tiere dazu kommt.
5.	Vienna Rodeo (Warhorse Roundup) (dt. „Rodeo in Wien”).
	The second movement from Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No. 2 meets Jacque Offenbach's Orpheus in Hades und Johann Strauss II's The Blue Danube.
